problems with bow animation

ive got a problem with the new bow animation in 1.8, i dedicated my server to the plugin warzone.
the plugin makes the bow shoot very fast/like a machine gun . but the bow has completely stopped working with the new bow animation in 1.8. it still shoots the arrows fast if youre fully aimed but the arrows hit the ground like 1 block before you. this makes my server kind of unplayable. so is there maybe something i can do or a plugin to disable the features of 1.8 or just the bow animation?
