Hey everyone! I'm not sure if the bukkit 1.8 version is already out (I looked, but couldnt find anything above 1.7.3 so if it is out, tell me. ) But even if it isn't out, what will I have to do to update the server when it comes out? Right now my game is updated and when I try to log onto my server, its sais the server is outdated. (I believe that is because it's not updated, right?) I'm sorry for these noob questions, But i have never run a server or anything alike before. It's all new to me. Thank you in advance!
New builds are available at http://ci.bukkit.org/ - these are experimental and should not be used without knowing what you're doing! All you have to do is update your craftbukkit jar in your main server directory, restart your server, and move on with life, basically.
I've looked at this link before, I'm not sure where to go/click/what to download. I'm sorry for being so troublesome! It's really confusing.
i would asume it would be the dev craftbukket link it is above 1060 build but it is still beta make a server backup before using
1. Backup your world folders and craftbukkit-snapshot.jar (possibly the whole craftbukkit folder) 2. http://ci.bukkit.org/job/dev-CraftBukkit/changes , read notes on the right and check for notes saying 1.8.1 compatible. pick that one or later. 3. look low left and click the orange circle next to the build # you want. 4. save and drop new snapshot into your CB folder.
