Permissions 3.x

My moderators cannot spawn themselves stuff, kick, ban or anything admin related, even though I have given them the correct node to do so. It will give them a You don't have correct permissions to do this! error. Help?

We still aren't sure what permission node is supposed to give them kick, ban etc.... permissions. It doesn't appear that any of those nodes are anything "admin related" except for the giving and taking of items. What mod has the control to kick/ban or is it just a matter of only the admin has the basic op powers that exist on any default server.

 

You left all your users as members, you have no moderators. That is most likely what your problem is.

Okay, but they still can't give themselves items. I must have forgot the ban/kick nodes, which is weird because my last moderator could kick and ban and i was using the same config. What broke it is when I added a new group (the guest group). I'll admit my mistake and add those nodes on there, then come back and test them.

 

darknano is a moderator, but the only one. Have you made them op with the basic bukkit command? not sure if you have to but you could try it.

you can always use /op <user>, doing it automatically i don't know. What plugins are you using? I have had trouble in the past where two plugins both have /give commands and it screwed up permissions.

just switched them on my server with no change, however, i have 4 more spaces for each permission, is that necessary? i wouldn't think so though because his admin still works...

Are there any errors when the server is started?

Also infront of all the nodes are there spaces or tabs? and is there the right amount? Also check after the nodes see if there is anything wrong there.

 

I'm not sure about errors, is there a way to view the server log (realtime) with Brohoster? Theres nothing in the control panel about the console. And I can't open up the .log files because then they open up in notepad nothing is wraped and everything is put together in one paragraph.

The right amount of spaces are there because when I added myself as moderator I had the colors (and oddly enough, the permissions they were missing and i wasn't even op'd) that represent a moderator on my server.

Doesn't work. It works for me when I add myself as a mod and deop myself, oddly enough, but it doesn't work when I do it to someone else.

btw, to add someone, i'm using /pr <playername> parents add <groupname> to promote them, i'm going to try that on myself when I'm admin to see if I get the same result my other player had. Really pissed off right now.

Yes, it does work for me when I use /pr <playername> parents add <groupname> to promote their next group and then /pr <playername> parents remove <groupname> for the last group, but not anyone else. SAASFS Ds

What plugins do you have? in the morning ill make a new server and try to get it to work or if you could attach your server folder and i can just try and work on it

 

I was able to recreate this on my own machine. I posted the plugin list above and I'm still not sure what is going on. The console isn't throwing any errors and I have the right permission nodes. Why bukkit, why?

I'm going to download my server onto my machine and see what's up. If I'm not able to do it, I'll post a zip of my server and give it to you guys to see what's wrong

I think something is wrong with Permissions, I deleted every plugin except for Permissions and simple give and permissions is acting up. I've deleted every group except for moderator and I've deleted every node in the moderator group except for the simple give node. But I still have the same problem. I just don't get it.
