BorderArea - Limit players to a rectangular region Version: v0.2 BorderArea takes points set from a configuration file to set a boundary to all player movement, limiting them to within the resulting rectangular region. On first run BorderArea will create a file named 'points' in the 'BorderArea' folder. The 2 points may then be set by using integer values that create a rectangular region in which to spawn a player. The default points set by the plugin on first run are (-100,-100) and (100,100) Please note, that the server spawn point should be set within the rectangular region that is set, not doing so can result in a StackOverflowError and copious amounts of console spam. Features: BukkitDev PMs1 Limits player movement to a rectangular region Rectangular region is able to be set from a file Download BorderArea Changelog: Version 0.2 Updated for new event system Version 0.1 First release. Correct me if I'm wrong, but am I right in saying that you can't specify points for a specific world? If that feature is not yet implemented, could you? It'd be very useful for custom maps we import.
Thank you. Could you point out to me where in BorderGuard it allows for setting of any rectangular region? From my usage of BorderGuard and the post you linked to it seems it only allows for setting of either square or circular border regions? Multi-world is currently not supported, but I can look into adding it, although I am going on vacation for the next week, so it will take some time.
Hi, I'm looking for a multi-border plug-in to set areas in which you can teleport (with PressurePort). Could you help me with this ?
Confirmed to work in 928 I'm not quite sure what it is you want my plugin to do? If you could specify what it is that you would like it
This plugins only allows ONE border in ALL worlds? So if my world is limited to 10000*10000, and i want to limit the nether to be 1250*1250, this plugin isn't for me, right?
Confirmed to work in 935. Currently, yes. Please stay tuned, as the next version will allow setting of multiple world borders, as well as separate nether borders for each world.
This plugin is really great and in my opinion much greater than BorderGuard, very simply and effective. It does what it's suppose to do!
Does this plugin allow your travel outside the border, i would like it to keep new people on a strter isalnd and once they are trusted are allowed to leave th island. is that possible with this plugin. thanks
Thank you. Currently it does not do this, I am afraid, but I can look into adding it with Multiworld/nether support in the next version. For now, confirmed working in CB 1000.
Is it normal that your plugin teleports you back into the border at 3 sides, but not at one, and kills you instead over there, even while using essentials god? Except for that, this was indeed what I was looking for. Much easier to use than BorderGuard!
That was a bug in previous versions of CB, namely CB1000, they are now fixed. Confirmed working in 1060
Thanks for replying to my first question. Yes, it was indeed fixed. A feature suggestion: Multiple border zones, for more complexely-shaped borders. As long as the player is in any of these zones, he's fine. Something simpler that might increase performance: A configurable time between the times the plugin checks a player's position. Not shure if this is necessary right now, but if you add the multiple border zones...
add permissions to exclude players from the checks, i'm looking to use this to hold all the guests in one area to be approved.
Would be great if there was a possiblity for admins to bypass the limit (e.g. Permission-Node ba.bypass). If you need help with that, simply pm me, but it would be a nice. Me and my admins would like to work on a new region before it is opened to the normal users...
Long time no see NuclearW. You will notice that this thread has now been placed into the Inactive Plugin subforum. If you wish to revive this plugin, please ensure that you update and test compatibility with the latest recommended Bukkit build before reporting your original post, asking for it to be moved back to the release forum. Thanks for your time. md_5
