Since 1.6, I've been having huge problems with the growth and spread of ice around on my map. It's consuming entire oceans and for the life of me I can't find any way of getting it to stop - //thaw'ing it with WorldEdit buys me about 30 seconds before it ices back over. Is there any plugin that'll help me deal with this? I just want to stop ice growth entirely.
Well you should search for plugins because within a second i found this http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/me...3-clean-up-quick-and-melt-ice-snow-803.13207/
That's a little dismissive. Equally so: You should read my post, because within a second you would understand that the problem I am having is not ice removal, which WorldEdit's //thaw command does just fine, but ice prevention - I can remove it all from the affected biomes, but it comes right back within 30 seconds.
For anyone still looking for an answer, this plugin works well with the WorldEdit plugin: http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/edit-biome-v0-3-1-change-biomes-permissions-953.24634/ You can set a biome to something other than Tundra. It will still snow on the screen but it will not lay.
