    What is Emerald Coding?
    Emerald coding is a new Bukkit Coding group I started. We will be making public and private plugins depending on your request. Currently we are working on a website for players to submit plugin request. But to fill all this request we are looking for coders who wants to join the team. If you are a (beginning) coder and you want to join our group feel free to contact me.
    Who am I?
    My name is Guillian aka GyllieGyllie. I'm a 19 year old guy from Belgium. I have studied ICT on school, am already coding java for 4 years and have some time experience with Bukkit API. I have already made public plugins, private plugins for server and minigames. At the moment I'm working on a big project for a new server which will be different then most minigames. But thanks to the fact I was coding alone and couldn't hold all request I founded the group so other coders can join and help me to fill all the requests.
    Old projects I've done
    * Multiple minigames like capture the flag, domination and hunger game variants.
    * Shop plugins
    * Parcour plugins
    * Some other simple server admin plugins
    * public plugins: ServerLogon (security plugin using encrypted passwords), PvPSwitcher (Requested plugin: ability to turn on/off pvp in worlds by players itself), Lockable doors (Requested plugin: Adding 3 tiers of lockable doors and keys)

  2. 4 years, eh? You know the first commit to Bukkit - which just added Server.java - was made just under 3 years and 10 months ago, right?

    That's why I said ABOUT 4 years. I don't really know the date I started coding Bukkit

  4. GyllieGyllie So you've been with Bukkit basically since the start? Sorry and no offence, but I don't think that's really all that true. :) But I'm just going to drop that now.

    AdamQpzm Well not from the beginning. It is possible it like 3 years and a bit but I know it is between 3-4 years ago I started coding. But does that really matter how long I have been coding?

    GyllieGyllie It's pretty hard to find developers who are willing to help a complete stranger. Believe me, I've tried. I've been learning Java and Bukkit API for almost exactly one year now; during that time it got achingly lonely. I can only imagine how you feel after 3-4 years. However, just look at all the "Let's make a new Bukkit!" threads. Do they seem to be getting a positive response from any developers?

    I do hope that you get a "yes" response to this thread, but just hang in there for now--and give it some time, too; you just posted this today.

    GyllieGyllie He's being sarcastic. HashMaps aren't very hard to use, so they may not be the best thing to use as an example for your coding experience.

    pookeythekid well it was a reaction to someone else who said I wasn't able to use hashmaps but he deleted his reaction

    @GylieGylie
    I have been learning Java for just under a year, The amount of community help and support I have had over these 10 months is amazing. However I know sometimes the minecraft modding community can be (No offence .... This is target at some of the community, not all of it) assh***s.
    All im trying to say in this is, Its not always the best idea to grab a randomer from the Internet. Im sure you 'test' this person anyway ... just keep it in mine. Dont trust anyone.
