Recovering the bukkit console in Ubuntu via Putty

    Hi guys,
    I'm running a server in a dedicated server with Ubuntu Desktop 10.4. I can access via remote desktop, but I'd prefer to do it with Putty.
    I know how to startup the server with Putty, but once I close it, it's impossible for me to recover the console.
    I've hear something about a sofware called "Screen", but I'm quite noob with Linux.

    Any help will be appreciated ;)

    I have an article covering Ubuntu and using Screen to start and manage the server using PuTTY. It might be old but it is still applicable.
