Here is the deal I am running a small server and trying to set up a tier group system. I think I finally figured out how to change the Groups Names and all.. But here is my problems. I wanna have certain groups access to change mode to creative and worldedit with out having to op them. Then another group access fly hat and redprotection. But everything I seem to try doesn't work. If someone would be willing to Help me I would be in relief. Either on here or I can call and you can walk me thru things. Trying to learn but when I am not sure what some plugins contain what features and when I think they do and try and grant the permissions yeah.. anyways.. frustrated.. Easy solution for this problem... Just use PEX (Permissions Ex) instead of group manager, it is waaaay easier. After you have got PEX and deleted GroupManager go on the permissions.yml file and edit it to look like this default file: http://pastebin.com/hLiaPfik Change up the group names if you want and change the users. You might also want to look at this to learn to use PEX: Click Here . Halogoop using a completely new permission plugin, that is also unstable, is a much easier solution, right? Asuxx read the GM warnings, you tried to put permissions in inheritance, instead of in permission section.
This is very easy to do with Group Manager. You add a permission to a group with the following command: /mangaddp groupname permission So for what you asked: /mangaddp groupname essentials.gamemode /mangaddp groupname worldedit.* /mangaddp groupname essentials.fly /mangaddp groupname essentials.hat I don't know about redprotection, but find the desired permissions and add them as above.
