Server how many players can i run

    Hello all i have a question
    i have a new Dedicated server not a VPS
    me question is how many players i can run on this server

    server Spec's
    OS: Centos 64Bit
    CPU: Intel SANDY BRIDGE Dualcore 3.1 GHZ with Hyperthreading
    Ram: 4GB
    HardDisk: 2000 GB SATAIII
    1000 mbit uplink

    Would probaly start lagging at 50 players. Would run pretty smoothly with 35-40 players i would think.

    It is entirely dependent on how many - and which - plugins you run.
    Also, as a sidenote, you're not going to want to allocate all 4GB of RAM to your minecraft server; you need to leave some RAM for other processes.

    Id set a Max at 60 players, Maybe 50 with 10 reserve
