Hamachi Bukkit Server Not Working

Hey guys i need help with my Hamachi Server, my brother and i can play and we live in the same house, yet my friends cannot play, please help?

 

You shouldn't need Hamachi if you are just playing on the same LAN. Try it without and just use the IP of the computer running the server.

 

but im not trying to play LAN. im trying to make a server so that i can play @ school with my friends.

 

Set the Hamachi IP in the server-ip: in the server.properties config file. And start both hamachi and server. They use the hamachi ip to connect, of this doesn't work, do you have cracked minecraft? If you do we can't help you.

 

Make sure they have Hamachi!

 

i tried with the ip in the server.properties config file and without it. neither of them work, im starting to think its the Schools network we're trying to play on

 

Does hamachi let you configure to use port 80? It's an ugly hack, but I doubt they block that port at the school!

Ok, maybe not port 80, but if it's an issue of the school blocking commonly used default hamachi ports, perhaps you just need to use a different one?

 

Schools will have all ports locked and the CMD is usually Locked as well. You can play Lan games with a flashdrive I have done this before and put the world on a single player save and played from there.

 

Yeah, but any time i've been on a locked network i've been able to dodge it by using other standard ports that they simply do not block... such as port 80 as the ugly example. Only time it wont work is if the minecraft server has a service requiring the port as well... but there are several at your disposal that will not be blocked.

 

They must also connect to your Hamachi network!
