What will you like to see in a bukkit server?

I meant like what features/plugin and what kind of server for example; RPG, Creative, Survival & ect...

 

None of any. There are so many servers at the moment that do the exact same thing. Unless you actually have the resources to procreate a successful minecraft server (money) then you'll just be disappointed. When staring at the list of current Minecraft servers I always come across the same kind of things:

• Survival
• Creative
• RPG
• Factions
• Towny Based
• Hardcore Survival
• PvP Arena

There is hardly any servers that take Minecraft to a new high. In a minecraft server I would like to see custom gameplay. A complete re-work of the game.

 

Like what though, if you want to tell me then message me so little newbs won't see it and then 50 multiple servers will come out with that idea.

 

That is for you to come up with.

 

It's kinda hard to think about a new idea if everything has been done already ;p

 

Where is the sense of creativity?! I'm sure if you sat down and started thinking you could come up with some gameplay.

 

Hahahah, thinking is the easy part. I'd make a minecraft game where the giant zombie gets put to use, and you have to build a city and protect NPC's and other ingame people. Both teams do this, and then we have the chance to attack whenever. Thinking is the easy part, this as you can see was a 10 second idea.
Making it, and making it happen is the hard bit.

 

I go for more first impression. The first thing is the spawn, if it's good then most of the time the server owner(s) know what they are doing. If there are 200 non-colored signs, who wants to read that? Basic, easy to read info on how to have the most fun on the server.

Then come things such as plugins, and the community. But for me it's mainly first impression.

what i would like to see from bukkit is a specialized launcher that can be customized so the modders can make mods and not just plug ins so that modders can add extra blocks etc. then we can give the launcher to our members and have a more customizable server bukkit is the best dont get me wrong but with the modders they cant really add something to the game thats not already there

If we knew what the next big idea was, why would we ever tell you? We'd be out making it on our own

 

spout is not made by bukkit and i dont see spout offered by bukkit

Bukkit will not venture into Client modding.

and the reason i said not spout if bukkit would venture into client modding you would have 100s more modders that would blow spout away

 

All TnT is saying is that the point of bukkit is not to be a client mod. The purpose of Bukkit is to provide a server that is as vanilla as possible, while still being modifiable server side.
