   Would a 1.2.5 plugin work with a 1.3 server?
   And vise versa?

   It depends on what functions the plugin uses. If it uses a function that was added for 1.3 it will not work for 1.2. And if the pluggin uses something that was removed from 1.3 it will obviusly not work with the update.
