Solved My server decided to just stop working?

I was running my server just fine for a few weeks and had lag here and there but no big issue. Well now my server will not even come up? I played one day-went to sleep-woke up and it just won't come up anymore . Someone had suggested a plugin called "nolagg" but I do not think that lag is the issue, simply because I get no server warning yet my friend nor I can connect. (also its only for recommended builds of craftbukkit but i;m using the beta for 1.2.3) This realy irritates me because it was working pretty much flawlessly then just stopped .

could you post a server log please? even if there is no error there may be something your missing

The folder is empty for w/e reason.

 

??? wierd ??? when you say you can't connect what comes up when you try to connect or is it just showing that the servers offline?

 

It is just simply not up :< shows that the server is not running.

Rawr now Im getting the whole can not reserve enough space for heap or w/e. Even if I am having ram problems it does not make sense that it all of a sudden started doing that.

EDIT: I closed mc and tried again and it says everything is running fine but my friend says it is still down.

 

probably just a glitch then lol
as for your friend make sure he's got everything in right and then try closing MC and reopening it

Is there any chance your internal or external IP has changed?

 

I thought about that but no they have not :< i'll go ahead and check again real quick though.

I think my ipv4 may have changed.

*UPDATE* When I have just my minecraft and server up I can connect with localhost though on my server bar with my ip adress it says that it is not up.

*UPDATE* It was saying connection refused so I fixed that (My ipv4 had changed) but now when we try to connect threw my ip it says connection timed out. Please help.

All problems solved....turns out I was using an incorrect ipv4 address, it seems I got my wireless one where as I needed my wire in ipv4.....I think. lol

Help me please I am experiencing this same problem. What do I need to use my IPv4 address for? Once I get it what do i do with it. Please help.

Um. My server has just stopped working out of no where. So here is what happened... We were all playing around building and stuff when all of a sudden my server just got major lag and then when i hold tab i have ZERO bars of connection and when I checked on my server and everything looked just fine but I couldn't type "stop" or any thing in it, so then after a few minutes it started disabling all my plug-ins and shutting itself down, but VERY slowly... so when it was fully shut down, I put the server back up and I was just floating in mid-air no blocks or anything around me and then i lose connection and the server shuts itself down very slowly again. And that is happening every time I try to run my server.... Please help! D:
