I'm sorry if you didn't read the TITLE but i said R6 witch chop tree is R1 If i am wrong please correct me. I just tryed it on my server and i got nothing. Also i AM sorry that i was trying to put a showcase on my title.
ohh I guess you didn't bother to read the comments on ChopTree http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/tree-assist/ Also, with the exception of R4 to R5 which changed the way some things work, specifically with commands, plugins remain operable through different versions of Bukkit. The version in the title are just the versions it has been tested with.
Personally, I like Tree Assist because it does both Timber Mod chopping AND auto-replants trees with the correct sapling type. Its great, and even has permission nodes for controlling who can chop a tree like that.
Choptree has permissions, I think? I have used choptree since 1.6.6 because it has proven simple and effective. Don't get me wrong, I have over 40 plugins on my server and I can handle complicated setups, but chopping trees is not something that needs be more than chopping trees. Replanting is silly if you ask me, as if I remember correctly, there was a bug in which you couldn't break saplings well, because the item they dropped would cause another to be planted.
