This is an issue that I have seen for months, but I feel is becoming a lot more consistent.

When I am tagged in a post, I am not always receiving notifications for said tag.
Proof that my settings are correct:

Yet when I was tagged here, I received no alert whatsoever. Not even the alert history shows anything.

Anyone else experiencing this or knows what is causing it?

  3. This happens from time to time due to a few reasons.

If the post is edited and your tag is in the edit, you won't be alerted. (Also applies to quotes)
When a user is in the moderation queue if their post is edited it won't alert you. (If not edited it works fine, alert it sent after approval)
If merged, no alerts will be sent.

These are a few reasons, but it does seem that sometimes no alert is sent even when none of them reasons apply.

    Oh, that's me, hi me.
This occasionly happens if the user edits his post, to at least tag the guy before. This is the reason behind 90% of my double posts. If you se a message, that looks like this:

bla bla bla, bla bla bla, How to make an arraylist bla bla bla
    @Tecno_Wizard

Then it is probably an edited one

It's far easier to say "Curse broke it" instead of doing something against it. Don't take away the fun.

@mcdorli Only Curse can do something on it, and sadly, they dont.

Nope. The creator of the Tag-Me addon can only do something about it. Curse can't.
BTW.: I'm just curious. Is the Tag "Tahg" because of the original authors of bukkit was called tahg?

@mcdorli Curse can update, remove, add, or use a different addon.

They probably can't edit an addon, that is made by a another person

  15. @mcdorli What he's saying is that they are using an outdated addon, this can be updated by Curse. The newest versions and other addons have these issues fixed. I'm not actually sure the last time Tag Me was updated.

So essentially, side effects of a badly written add-on. Can't say I'm surprised.
