"Operation timed out" when people try to connect to connect external IP

    I'm using Airport Utility (Apple's application for Port Fowarding the Time Capsule Wireless Router) and people can't seem to connect to the IP, with and without the :25565 port. It stalls at 'connecting' for some time and finally says "Operation timed out."

    Anyone know what's causing this?

    Firewall blockage??
    In any case a quick way to solve your problem is to join my server instead. Go naow mcserver1337.servegame.com:1337

    If I come across one more post like this - I've seen two now - I'm giving you an infraction.

    If you want to showcase your server, there is a subforum for that. If you want to host a public server and want people to join, put it in your signature, but please do not respond to people looking for help with advertisements for your server - read the Terms and Rules.

    Anyone have some insight into the actual OP?

    Also, I tested my computer with an external (online) port-checking service and it said the port was closed. Not sure why.
