Will Bukkit be continuing Updates such as 1.8?

    TECGaming360 Unless you have something to state otherwise, assume it was just some random person buying a domain similar to something else as people are wont to do.

    I think some other mods might get to 1.8 "soon", including at least one which implements the Bukkit API :p. Not sure what soon is this time.,..

    It's closed source, the obfuscation mappings were released which allowed everyone to be able to decompile the compiled source. We may be able to get the source, but its not the original source. The original source is not view-able for anyone outside of Mojang.

    Bukkit and CraftBukkit IS open source; Minecraft's source code isn't.
