Why do players on my server get lag so much?

I'm running a server through craft bukkit Bukkit GUI.
In the console, every so often. This pops up

Followed by a lot of lag. Is it due to a plugin?

 

It is becuase of your interent connection. you need to have a really fast one in orde to have no lag. Hope this helped.

How do I show you my server log? Can't seem to find it.
And my internet is 20mb/s. Is that fast enough?

If the lag continues, I might just run a good old fashioned server and not bukkit hehe

The server log file can you find where the craftbukkit.jar file is. The file is server.log called.

But at the moment it's at 5mb/s download..Presume that's because of the server hehe

 

We want to know what upload speed you have, not download.

 

According to speedtest.net I'm at 5mb/s download and 0.70 upload.

It's because I downloaded quite a lot earlier, my ISP lowers my download and upload speed after I download a lot. It usually resets at midnight.

 

The upload speed is too slow. How much players are playing on your server? 0.5Mbps would be okay for two people.

 

Current upload speed is 2mb/s. IS that okay for 11 ish players?

 

No. 1 Player needs from 0.25MB/s to 0.5MB/s. So, your internet is too slow. Host your server.

 

How do I go about hosting a server?
I was thinking about doing so, but I couldn't find anyone to direct me

Once I host a server from a website.. Do I still get to use the craft bukkit tool and add plugins etc?

You need a gameserver hoster.

There are many server hosters. Just google.

 

I've got 0.36mbps upload speed and I can run a server with 3 players, and a lot of memory intensive stuff going on. Although the players who have joined are all in the same 20 mile radius, which probably makes it faster for them. It depends what you want to do.

No, you can't use the Bukkit GUI anymore. But there you have a Online Controlpanel, there are (I think) start, stop, restart functions and much more...

Yeah, you just need to upload them with an FTP program, like Filezilla.
