Why can't I add my plugin to my server?

    I wrote a plugin in Java, which I could put on my test server, but when I try to put it on the regular server (which already has several plugins) it doesn't work there, I put the jar file in the plugins folder, but it's like it's not there, it's not detected by the server and the server log, why is that?
