Please note my discussion was not purely aimed at you - I'd already posted above you that I'd like to see a popularity option.

I understand popularity can come with it's own issues but it doesn't help the users/admins to browse through plugins sorted by last updated (I assume this is last update of the plugin download file) regardless of popularity. If I search for "coke" on the internet I do not expect to see at the top a page about the coal product or a random blog discussing differences between coke & pepsi just because they happened to update their page more recently.

That's not always true- some terrible plugins receive lots of discussion over how terrible they are, and some great plugins do exactly what they say they do and therefore need no discussion.

Lets get this stuff back. Use the
#wheredapluginscurse hashtag on twitter, and mention them in angry tweets.
    post on their facebook page,
and - their status on google+ with nasty comments.

Seriously, they threw server admins a curveball, and were chucking you a freaking meteor back. UPROAR.

Cmon! Lets do this! For the good of Plugins.bukkit.org, unless we setup a third party plugins site, but then we have the same problem...

I like the new search curse, it justs needs a few additions - making it WORK and having freaking PLUGINS.

True :) Guess no system is perfect, I just find the dev.bukkit system less perfect than the current forums - though I feel that with the addition of "vote" and/or "last discussed" fields it could be better.

Still have gotten no real reply...

    pro/cons:
    Previous:
    Pro:
    - Link to the forum page; one place everything is located; EASY
    - Short, simple and straightforward:
    Con:
    - Everyone can simply release a plugin without having a developer account
    - Recursion

    New:
    Pro:
    - Recursion is still possible, but people are less likely to go through the hell to publish their plugin
    - Page on the developers site, which is closer and also makes sure all pages have the same formatting
    Con:
    - Why have a release/submission page? I now end up managing two pages instead of one...
    - The new page can not hold the same information as my old org.bukkit one, I end up scrapping a lot of info and linking to my old page, simply because of the lack of this.

If you manage to take away the cons for the new system I don't mind using it...or have some sort of option to insert a page into it...or at least allow the same forum tools as org.bukkit, you can't do much in BB.

What? You can create new pages. And you can use wiki formatting, which is much better and easier to get right than the annoying formatting this forum has. Or if you don't like wiki formatting, you can just use straight (basic) html.

Ok I'll just copy 'n paste the org.bukkit HTML data over and use that. I see no other way to get spoilers in there w/o becoming a HTML specialist as well... -.-

    EDIT

Off topic perhaps, but does anyone know if it's possible to embed a bukkit post as HTML in that page? Would ease everything SO much!

    EDIT2 as reaction

Yes, wiki formatting is nice...for WIKI pages, not the front-end of your 'business'...

It works fine for the front page as well. I think my plugin pages look good anyway. Also, instead of using spoilers just create other pages and link to them.

One question though...are the submission/release pages going to get wiped w/o warning? I already made a backup of my pages in Word documents, but just wondering...

I sort of like it, but I do agree, I think the old one was better, with the new one, it allows anyone to become a plugin dev (even me with my crappy plugin...) Not saying I don't want to be plugin dev, but I think people are like "AMG I WANT PLUGIN DEV" I don't really care if I get it or not, IMO, I don't think I deserve it, since my plugin is so crappy (literally lol)
