What plugins do you prefer for a good server?

Hey guys

I've just returned to Minecraft after a longer break. This means I'm totally outdated about keeping a server and stuff like that

Anyway, I thought I would make a thread where you could suggest a list of "must-have" plugins for a good server.

I'm going to set up a new one, so I need some ideas for good basic plugins.

 

Depends on what kind of server you want. (public, friends-only, RP, free build, survival)

 

Basic stuff:
Commandbook
Groupmanager (Permissions)
WorldEdit
WorldGuard

antigrief:
Logblock (or BigBrother, though I prefer LB)
AntiBuild

Economy/roleplay
iConomy
LocalShops
mcMMO

Extra's
Vanish (spy on suspected griefers)
Confess (check inventories)
HeroicDeath (<- must have for every server)

 

Whats so bad about essentials anyway? I don't have a problem using it.

Its not that hard to use permissions. Just watch the tutorial vid.

 

Dont worry, that will come, eventually.
I used it to for several months... then I started refining/detailing my plugin setup and Essentials screwed around, removed essentials, and everything worked perfect. So... or all the other plugins dont know how to play nice, or Essentials...
