I'm trying to decide since Permissions 3x went inactive. i dunno which one to use or what superperms is which plugins the default one?
Superperms is a developer api for setting and getting permissions. Sever admins should stick what they were using unless something else has updated breaking it. In which case you will need to transition to a new permissions manager plugin. The BukkitWiki prescribes using PermissionsBukkit http://wiki.bukkit.org/Setting_Up_Bukkit_Permissions But you are free to use other managers like bPermissions or PEX or a few others floating around. However sine Superperms does not provide group information, certain plugins still depend on certain permission managers.
http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/bpermissions/ If you're lazy and still want the * node - bPermissions is the only superperms manager to support it.
bPermissions is what I use. I love it. The only thing it lacks is a global permissions feature. But it's still the best, imo.
I think GroupManager is a good 1 simple to use and yet i have no probs with it and has a simple node that you get used to very quickly http://forums.bukkit.org/threads/in...pha-3-a-permissions-replacement-440-531.4723/
