What jar to use as API? (Craftbukkit.jar?)

Hello, I am a CanaryMod plugin developer also.
And I was wondering if it was the same on making CanaryMod plugins.

Where the API is included in the server. (CanaryMod.jar)

Is it the same for Bukkit? I use craftbukkit.jar or do I download a API jar? =S

You download bukkit.jar
http://dl.bukkit.org/downloads/bukkit/ is a list of them. Recommended builds are what you should develop on. Bukkit should have everything you need.

I always use recommended builds.

The only time I used a nightly build was for Minecraft Beta 1.9pre5

By Recommended build he means Bukkit recommended builds, not Minecraft ones. That link he sent will always give you the latest one. For future reference, you can also use craftbukkit.jar, it includes the API as well.

 

I know what he meant by recommended builds.
I used to use development builds on Bukkit, until I took an error to the console xD
