what is the best FREE plugin programing app?

    my opinion is Intellij, I have used Eclipse and Intellij, and I've liked Intellij better

    the community version is free. Intellij is a but harder to use than Eclipse but has more options. like decompile class files to read-only files

    I think eclipse is better for starters as it gives you a clearer view on what's going on with packets and compiling.

    Not to hijack this thread, but I'm currently using Eclipse, open to changing, but wondering if there is one or the other that would handle debugging nicely. I tried to get it working in Eclipse and never could.. I'm sure that'd make a huge difference in which is better for a beginner.
