Ya I've been having trouble getting on all morning :/
I just restarted it in case there was an issue. I'm thinking that the dedicated server might be jumbling requests between the two Minecraft servers.
Update: I'm going to have to sort out what's wrong. I'm thinking that there might not be enough memory to run this server at the moment. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Don't worry about it. We're all just excited and hopeful to get to play this wonderful creation of yours and give you feedback. Just keep us informed if you get it working and want some of us on.
I was able to get on for a while before it crashed again. The terrain is looking very good (besides the super chunk boundaries (I know you're working on it)). I got a few pics while there some interesting generation of holes in areas
Just to let everyone know, we're currently running the test plugin on the main voodoocraft.net URL (port URL is down). Same command to get there, /wasteland goto.
If you happen to encounter any bugs/crashes, report it back here with as many details as you can!
I played for about 15 mins, dodged me some massive armies of creeps and found a few really nice formations. I think there's a small bug that seems to appear when you dig, it basically repeats the message you get when you type /wasteland goto and take all items from you that aren't part of the starter kit.
Other than that its looking really nice, although some dead shrubs in the desert would be nice, if possible.
Willing to test anything and everything you've got that needs testing.
Once needed, that is.
Is it back up? I know you were having a server crash bug.
It's still being a bit strange. I'm looking for the issue, and I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with the Crater Populator code, but it's proving difficult to replicate.
I'm rewriting a bit of the terrain generator to handle chunk transitions better, and I'm adding the Subterra dimension to the next testing build since you've all been pretty patient thus far.

The Silent? Are you referring to the aliens that you forget upon breaking eye contact or actual silent entities?
When are you going to release the plugin to the public because I run a server and the people on it really want to try apocalypse craft because they like me think it sounds like a great mod, Thanks, Chilly9298
I don't have a release date. I'm doing limited testing to figure out a few kinks before resuming public testing, and following that, a downloadable test version won't be far off.
Take your time did you figure out what the server crash issue was?
I think it might be related to the Craftbukkit memory leak problem. I'm still going to have to do a bit of private testing to ensure that the issue has ceased, but I'm hoping this will solve the problem.

This would be awsome but will this generate the whole world or can it generate some areas like this
The terrain generated is infinitely expansive [or rather, at least as large as minecraft worlds can get].
maybe you could add vaults like in fallout or would that be included with the buildings?
Those structures [or some similar] are already slated to be included.
thats cool, is there going to be quest that give you rewards and/or a storyline?
The current instancing engine should allow me to link dungeon-styled quest instances to certain structures placed by the world generator.
If you do have quests/story line can you make it configurable like there is a story file that can be edited and signs generated in the Repositories will have a random log from the list in the file
Willing to build prefab buildings that can be selected and used to populate, just let me know about size/theme currently I can save them in a .schematic or just give you the world file..

That dreadful crash seems to be solved with the new Bukkit build [1K]. I'm working now to integrate Volumetric with ApocalypseCraft for a few handy things.
