I've been trying for ages for minecraft-server-list.com to recognize my votifier. I don't have a listener in the folder but the config file looks like this -- host:75.191.220.7 port: 8192 debug: false listener_folder: plugins/Votifier/listeners I used my server's IP and the default votifier port. The server is port forwarded as well so it should be able to recognize it. I even went to canyouseeme.org and it confirmed that my ip with my server port works. Can anybody fix this? I also put in the public key right. I used the public key file in the rsa folder.
Use a different port maybe? Though since you're hosting from home I don't think it'd make a difference... You need a space between host: and your IP. That may be the problem You don't necessarily need any listeners in that folder. I use GAListener (paid version) and It's just a plugin you toss in the plugins folder and configure. It hooks in to Votifier on startup and listens for votes from it Paid version supports UUIDs and has lots of other good features the free one doesn't: <Edit by Moderator: Redacted not allowed paid resource url>
@oceantheskatr I put a space between the host: and the IP but It didnt change anything. it's showing this message -- [Unable to connect to the Votifier server on Port: 8192 - (Connection timed out) - Are you sure you have Votifier installed?] I don't know how to find out another port to use either.
@Toxic__Waste I tried using the mineserver test but that even said it couldnt find me @Toxic__Waste yea how do i open it or find a port that actually IS open that I can use EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
@oceantheskatr http://pastebin.com/97hbuNZi This is the error I get from Votifier when I reload/start the server.
you need to get to your router usually 192.168.0.1 open in your browser http://setuprouter.com/ find your router
@Toxic__Waste Yea I can do that by getting my default gateway into the browser and logging in. It takes me to the page where I can control the router and port forward.
well at this point your on your own its your router and most have a different way of port fowarding when you find your router on that link you can get the right instruction to port forward your particular router
