View-only chests, contents protected

I'd like a very simple, lightweight plugin that will make a chest view-only so that players can view the contents of the chest but cannot take anything from the chest.

In its most basic form, the command would be for ops only and work like this:

1. type the command (something like /viewonly)
2. left-click (hit) the chest to select the chest

Performing that same sequence on a chest that is already view-only would revert the chest back to normal.

Due to inventory issues, if Spout is required, I'm OK with that!

Basic features:
Must be compatible with Lockette (shouldn't be an issue as long as you avoid sign-based features)
Must work for both single and double chests

Bonus features:
PermissionsBukkit compatible with nodes for who can create, remove, override protections
WorldGuard aware - can set all chests within a WG region as ViewOnly
Work for all containers
Localization of any messages

 

But why? You could gloat that you had loads of diamonds, but that's about it.

 

@OzoneBuu to add ambiance to areas like starter towns or adventure maps where you want a place to look 'realistic' and lived-in, but you don't want players taking the stuff.
