Clarification Value of a "WIP" Thread tag in Plugin Development

If "Plugin Development" is a support forum for people to get help with questions, what's the point of having a "WIP" tag? Is this just a little oversight?

The "WIP" prefix is meant to be for the "WIP and Development Status" subsection and since you probably can't have prefixes for subsections, it's available in the entire Section.

EDIT: Nevermind, you can. Seems like somebody accidently added the Prefix to the entire section. I will see whether it will be changed.

 

So then oversight/lack of better solution, alrighty!

It is useful for several ones. However I kinda don't get the point of it being available in the Plugin Developement Section.
Everyone who is posting there is currently working on a Plugin, so all Threads there should be marked as WIP then...

Yeah, that was the half of the logic being presented. If it's an oversight it can easily be corrected when an administrator is available (not sure what channels are in use now but just drop them a notice).
