Problem/Bug Users can't use certained items (in this case bows)

So I just updated my server and plugins from 1.4.7 to 1.7.2 and suddenly noone can use bows (not even OPs). Here's a list of all my plugins:

They have the permission nodes. I've tried disabling Essentials antibuild. This is how the default rank permissions look like:

make sure all of your plugins are updated and compatible with 1.7.2. if that doesn't work it may be a problem with the authme plugin breaking?

 

All my plugins are up-to-date (incl. Authme). And there's no error(s) of any sorts in my server log.

 

Does anyone know? My players are moaning about not being able to do normal pvp and mobarena.
