Hi I have a Bukkit server and I wanted to add more RAM...
It only allows me to allocate 1200MB of RAM but I feel like I need more
So I was wondering if I run my server from a USB DRIVE, will it allow me to allocate RAM?
Ex.) I have a 8GB USB drive, so would I be able to allocate 5GB RAM?

    No :(

Flash storage space is not the same as memory :\

    1. How much physical RAM do you have?
    2. Which OS? 32 or 64 bit?
    3. 32 or 64 bit Java?
    4. What is the command line you're using to start Craftbukkit?

    1. I have 4 GB of RAM but it only lets me allocate 3.5GB
    2. 32 bit
    3. 32 bit
    java -Xmx1200M -jar craftbukkit.jar -o true

You can try -Xmx1536M but that's the most you'll be able to do until you get a 64 bit OS and 64 bit Java.

ReadyBoost doesn't use flash memory as RAM. It uses flash memory as a cache for the HDD.
