(tekkit server) Groupmanager /afk problem

So here i am hosting a tekkit server and ill proberebly be publishing it soon but i installed this plugin called groupmanager i think most of you know what it is and i started setting it up so when i was done i saved the stuff uploaded it to the server and ran it i went on the server the first thing i noticed was why the heck isnt prefix and suffix not working well my friend went on his wasnt working aswell so suddently the server putted me to no longer afk and it worked but everytime we log in we have to hit /afk to make it work how to fix it ? can i remove the AFK plugin or fix it i have tried to hit up solutions on google doesnt find anything i looked through the confic nothing works at all plz help me :/
