SQL Vs. YML

    I've seen around here that apparently using the SQL config types can be more stable than YML. I suppose this is because YML is a pain the the butt if you accidentally get 1 space wrong. My question is, suppose I changed all of my plugins' config types to SQL, could I then set up an interface on my website to interact with these databases?

    It would seem a million times easier to update permissions if I could just change/add/remove database entries, because then I wouldn't even have to reload the plugin...

    Any ideas if this would work? Sorry if a thread like this exists, I looked a bit and didn't see one.
