[Spawn Issue] and [Essentials - Home] issue

I'm currently running a bukkit server and I'm having two distinct issues. One of which involves my spawn point. Setspawn doesnt really work, for one. No matter what, we spawn in this random place above a nether portal which was randomly created after using a portal to enter the nether, then returning. And upon spawning there, we spawn in the air, and die again, and then we spawn normally. Every time. Anyone else having similar issues?

The second one is about essentials-home plugin. People have set their home and I set it so that when we die, we should spawn at our home, but this doesn't work. I'll also post in the essentials thread about this.

I'm having the same problem. No idea how to fix this, sorry.

 

sounds like that is your maps original spawn point, seeing as old nether maps would generate portals at the other worlds spawn.
