some setup help (dont worry i know lua, and javas almost the exact same thing)

first off i dont know what the version is
along with that, i did the barebones of setting up so ill appreciate if you send in links of development tools, etc
i might be called on as newb any moment, but hey, put some sage advice on me

never mind its not, but i could learn a second laguage easy with what i know already
gatta learn priorities, gatta remember new commands, gatta learn some more unknown stuff
and there you go, a noobie at java in 1 week

I don't know how it is from LUA, but learning it from C++ was a breeze for me. Taught myself it in a couple days while at the same time having to make a project in Java for work.

The version to build against is 493. The only tool you really need is the Eclipse IDE (and even at that, you really don't need need it).

If I remember correctly, Samkio has some good beginner and intermediate plugin dev tutorials.
