Server under ddos - what to do?

    My server has been undergoing a DDOS or a DOS staring yesterday. and it has been so bad that i cant even get into remote desktop to see who is doing it. and if i can sign into the server itself, i get around a 2-3SECOND ping. doing a /lagmem showed that we where running at 20TPS and using 4 out of 16GB of ram.

    server specs:
    100mbs/s uplink
    core i7 2600k
    16GB DDR3 ram
    2 250GB 7200RPM disks in RAID.

    what should i do about this, seeing its so bad i cant even sign into remote desktop?

    Shut down youre server for the time being, and find out who is doing this.
