It was kinda obvious ( at least to me ) that somebody needed to provide a server for this to run on

Nice.. 000webhost? Pretty sure it offers free unlimited sized MySQL database.

But most hosts have a limit on their data folders, the MySQL is stored in there. And you still need that host

timtower I thought he already had the mysql ready for him.

Maybe localhost, but using localhost for a global review would be annoying :p

No. Nonononono. No. 000WebHost removes random free sites in order to get money.

Bump. It doesn't have to have the database thing btw... Just my original idea would be satisfactory.

Well I'm not exactly sure what happened here, some people suggested things and made some promises. As far as I can tell, none of them lived up to their boasts. This plugin would be quite easy to make, everyone made it MUCH to complicated. Inbox me and we'll talk.

I'm adding a lot more features but I am also going to be adding a config so that you can turn them on/off. Is that okay?

I would, but as I said, I need a MySQL server that I just can't provide right now, as mine runs my Bukkit Server, Website, SpaceBukkit, and an SQL server with way too many databases already. If someone provides a server, I'll do it.....

    MrGermanrain
You might want to add some encryption to however you are storing the server's reviews. What's to keep server admins from changing a config to 5 stars? :p

wait... is he expecting me to supply him with a mysql api of some sort
I would make it so in-game you could tell the review...

No, I was planning on adding that, but couldn't provide a server. I'm saying if you plan on storing it in flat-file, you'll have to encrypt it somehow...

mattrick16 Not necessary at all :/ Which feature did i mention that states that admins can change the config? They don't even get fpt access. Unless you mean by command then nope. Perms. So not really necessary. There shouldn't even be a feature that lets you edit a review o-o

He is saying that some people who do have FTP access can change the review. It has to be stored somewhere so he is saying encrypt it so the reviews can't be changed

Then they first need to get the FTP access, and if you encrypt it then you need to store the key somewhere, they can just search that key, decrypt, modify, encrypt.

Very true.... Unless he uses some kind of super mega advanced encryption in which case would be something completely unnecessary and too massive... Who the hell with ftp access would want to modify the reviews? Well sir those are the people you shouldn't have trusted with ftp access. Right?

You can store it in flat-file I believe, you would just need some massive encryption. I believe Khan Academy has a tutorial on encryption...

Or just don't give anybody access to it and don't encrypt :p
