Server issues, Servers time is wrong, plugins not working.

My servers time is incorrect, it shows it at about a 12min differnce, which as i understand is quite bad.

I'm no genius with java/linux but i have searched around and i cant come up with any solution that works, i understand roughly how the servers time being off would break things, ATM plugins like, bigbrother, mobarena, citizens ect do not work and any other plugin that requires any sort of schedule/timer.

My CPU usage is also higher then it normaly is, McMyAdmin shows -ram all the time, and the console is spammed with messages telling me that it cant keep up, due to the incorrect time.

I have a VPS in an OpenVZ environment, as far as i have research, that means its imposible for me to manually set the time to use the ntp servers? I have asked the hosts to fix the issue, but they are being VERY slow, and quite frankly I'm extremly unhappy with the service,

but i wanted to post here asking if anyone new a quick fix or any way i can get my server running better?
