server "freezes", but craftbukkit.jar doesnt crash, Help!!

my server randomly disconnects everyone and no one can log back in until i stop and start the .jar again. what im saying is even after all players have disconnected the craftbukkit.jar still appears to be running but no one can login.

I thought the problem was i was stupidly running Antixray in debug mode, but disabling that has not solved the problem. I just removed craftbukkit.jar and downloaded it again, im hoping this solves the problem. but i dont have any way of knowing for certain until it "freezes" again. The most recent freeze just showed END OF STREAM on the log about 5-6 times.

Can anyone enlighten me what might be the cause of this? im not using nearly enough ram for it to be crashing. and the cpu load seems to be fine.

The build number is displayed in the top of the server.log.
for sure i am now running 1000, it "may" have been 953 before i reinstalled it, but i had asked someone to install 1000 before, but the log is gone now : (

6. What command are you using to run your CraftBukkit server? mm thats complicated its a modified version of the startup script posted on minecraftwiki

7. What plugins are you running?

Unfortunately its happening on a lot of servers running craftbukkit, do you have any [SEVERE] warnings come up? Something like this basically?

if you look at some of the forums, the other srever's having this problem odont et it when not running craftbukkit :/ i would've thought they'd be abe to fix it by now, i know they need to anwser questions on the forums but tbh i'd rather they dealt with glitches then have a forum...

i did before disabling Antixray debug mode like this, but just today the server ran for 40 minutes and with no warnings or severe, then it just said end of stream over and over

its that socket closed thing that crashes the server :/ from what i can tell its also random -.-

 

but the jar stays running?

 

yeah that's what confuses me too, it shows the server is always running on minestatus.net and on the server providers adminpanel :/

 

i actually have to stop the .jar before i can start it again otherwise the it will tell me craftbukkit.jar is already running.

 

same, half the time i have to try and log in before i can tell whether its crashed

 

well it hasnt crashed yet since i reinstalled craftbukkit.jar...so maybe it was corrupted, or maybe it was running 953 and something is not compatable with it.

 

nah its craftbukkit messing up, simething about a glitch with minecraft which they're "working to fix "

if you take all but the bare essentials away it doesnt crash as often as long as you dont /save-all, we're bringing plugins back 1-by-1, only running on the main plugins plus myhome which we added in after a few hours atm

is this happening to all servers or just some? im looking for threads similar to mine and dont see, where are you looking?

 

we put a temp world up, we're reseting as well :/ im looking in the bukkit help bit, socket write error

 

someone said it could have to do with players entering a corrupt chunk
i dont know how i would go about testing this other than walking around

this is a new one
anyone know what this means?

Socket errors occurr when a player with a mismatched client version joins the server.
EXAMPLE: I run minecraft server version 1.7.3 + player with 1.7.2 = socket error
The only SOLUTION to the read timed out errors is disabling permissions 3.x I have tested it and without permissions i can run my server through the night without problems!

 

well i have disabled mcmmo and the server ran throughout the night, and i have no cpu spikes now
