hi guys, well not sure what is going on, but im trying to get a mountain map generated, and basically i used a seed to make a mountain map, from googling, and in the server cfg i put the seed in where it says to, i even put the "world" name to the name of the seed, and well,i dont get that map... i even used a "seed" for another mountain map, maps like 90% flat, some mountains around hardly any though, and its llike 30% water, not sure if its like Pre-1.8 seeds just arent the same no more? or what?
yeah im new to the whole seed stuff, but yeah i used a 1.8 seed and it actually worked, so i guess after patches it does affect the seeds and all that
Completely new map generation means that all the math has changed (it's now fractal based! ) meaning every single seed will give different results as pre 1.8...
