    Everyone using PermissionsEx, Essentials, or anything else besides the regular permissions plugin or PermissionsBukkit should add or change this in their config under the Global section:
    LegacyPermissions: true
    As of 2.4.0 the bPermissions plugin is supported directly.​
    As of 2.3.7 the PermissionsBukkit plugin is supported directly.​
    This support is not done through the new built in Permissions that bukkit provides, because there is no way to get a players group using the built in methods. However, by supporting this directly, you can now use the new permissions system while still keeping Residence, and not having to use old permissions at all anymore.​

    About:
    Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.​
    Features:

    • Allows players to define protected areas for themselves.
    • Individual permissions for each protected area. Land owner can give / deny permissions globally or to other specific players.
    • Different permissions per land include: move, build, use, pvp, fire, teleport, monsters spawn, damage prevention
    • Support for group permissions on protections.
    • Multi-World support.
    • Teleport system to allow users to teleport to residences.
    • Collision detection system to prevent residences from overlapping.
    • Limits to protected size can be set up by the admin.
    • Limits to number of protected areas per player can be set.
    • Two ways to select land including using the select command, or using a item to select 2 points.
    • Messages when you enter / leave a residence. (customizable)

    • Added the 'place' and 'destroy' flags, which if used overrule the 'build' flag. These allow you to give only block placement permissions in a certain area, or only block destroy permissions.
    • /res check [residence] [flag] <player> command, this command evaluates if <player> is affected by [flag] at [residence]. You can leave off <player> and it will use your name.
    • Added a LeaseAutoRenew config option, that will cause leases to automatically renew so long as the player has the money to do so. Note that, if economy is disabled this doesn't work, as there would be no point to leases. Needs Testing! :)
    • Global FlagPermission config section, that allows you to give permission to use a flag to all groups, useful for the build / move / use flag that you almost definitely want everyone to have access to. Flags under each individual group will overrule these.
    • You can now set a limits on how deep or how high protections can go into the group, using each groups MinHeight and MaxHeight settings.
    • /res select sky, and /res select bedrock commands, these auto adjust to the above mentioned MinHeight and MaxHeight settings, so it won't select into a area you can't protect.
    • Rent system implemented.
    • Many bug fixes, including proper creeper explosion prevention now. Also, fixed some bugs when renaming residences.

    I have a question, to be valid a group must be defined only in permissions or in residence config too ?

    I am running bukkit Build 1000 with latest Residence version and Group Manger. I have set it to legacyPermisions as instructed. But we are running into the following problems.
    I have the admin permission node yet i still have limits.
    When a residence has been created and we type "/res list all" there is nothing there. Its like the residence was never created.
    No error messages in the console.

    Hi!
    Very nice plugin, good job.
    It seems like the global place/destroy flag overrides the build flag of a residence (so if I use global place and destroy, I have to use it for every residence too). Is there a way to turn that off (so that build is taking effect even when place or destroy is globally set)?

    I've noticed that an iConomy account called "Lease Money" has made itself into the #2 largest account on my server; however I am entirely at a loss on how to access it. The space in the name seems to render it invalid as a "target", and I'm clueless what to do now short of taking a crowbar to H2SQL, which seems like a nightmare. Any insight?

    Why my Residences dissappear after some time?
    res.yml, res.yml.bak and pre-upgrade-res.yml delete themselves after some time, leasesystem is on FALSE.
    Using bukkit 1k and residence 2.3.6, i cant remake every fuckign residence xxxxxx times if it deletes themselves after some time...

    BUG REPORT

    OK, while using this mod I found one real bug and one possible bug that you should take a look at.

    1. "/resadmin removeall [player]"
    Example:
    find_me: /resadmin removeall Joe_Shmoe
    All of find_me's property has been removed!
    Although it says your property has been removed, the command works how it should and removes Joe's property. Just a simple message mistake that always puts in the players name who runs the command.

    2. Flags - This does not apply to all the flags, some work fine some just don't.
    The flags seem a little buggy... There are times where you have to redo a residence just to get one to work. One example is with the flag 'flow'. For some reason if you try changing flags for a property as the owner it won't work. (Yes the flag that allows owners to change the 'flow' flag was set to true the whole time, and no player, group, or residence flags were denying this right.) If you check residence info it will say the flag is set to true, but when the owner places water it will not flow out. Although if the owner of the property is an admin for example they can change the 'flow' flag for their property with no problem and it's all dandy.
    While this bug occurred I had the following plugins:

    One more thing, the options in res.yml were set correctly for Iconomy, permissions, and the other plugins that had variables associated with them. Also "/resload" and/or restarting does not fix this after a player sets their flag to true.

    The whole flags thing could just be my fault, I'm not asking for any help I just ask that you look a little into it and maybe there is a real problem behind it. I would suggest starting with the flag 'flow' because I had the most trouble with that one.
     
  13. alright i have a few ideas. for one i think spout would be awesome and have a title on the top of the screen. also having the words in the chat be toggle-able for the player to switch between heading and chat. Id really like to see this plugin feature spout because this is one of my favorite plugins

    whenever i try certain selection commands i get the message that i dont have access to selection commands.if i have all residence nodes under my group why dont i have access to selection commands? i have the following permission nodes for my group;

    I second that, I would love some MySQL support. Great plugin though! We have our entire town covered in Residences.

    Also, is there any way to forward money from the created residence cost to an iConomy account? For example, if I try to create a residence and it costs me 5$, is there any way for me to forward that 5$ to someone's account when the residence is created?? That would be great, as we have a Government account on our Minecraft server.

    you can manualy select any area that you like .... i think people need to start reading documentation of this plugin.... i have no trouble with this plugin on latest recomended build with bukkit permissions. there is only one issue atm on 1060 and that is it doesnt block the new arrow damage.

    bekvon I have tryed to contact you via pm but havent had any luck. This plugin simply isnt 1060 compatible since the new arrow entity damage isnt recognised by this plugin. Hence people can still do damage with arrows in -pvp flaged zones. Also I havent checked this but im not to sure it supports the new move events also since i have seen some console spam related to move event not being passed onto this plugin.

    Updated, now my residences won't load. Only about 8/40 are loading and it isnt the important ones. Any reason it would load some and not others?

    Also, I am not an admin now. I am op and the settings are correct. Any help?

    Is anyone having issues with players being able to shoot each other with bows now that RB 1060 is out? We just noted this issue tonight. Any help would be appreciated. I am running RB 1060 and the latest version of residence. Thanks.

    That also already happened on 1000 and 1045, in no-pvp zones you can use bows to hurt people.
