    I was having this problem with the latest version of iConomy. Have you tried installing Register? That fixed it for me. Also, you have to deposit the money into the town bank, not just have it in your own account. You'd do
    /town deposit <amount>
    After that, it should work.

    I've got Towny working with IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft, but I'm finding that Machines, like mining wells and Quarries, will not mine in areas protected by Towny's permissions. I was able to open up "the wilds", but when I did a /town set perm on to toggle everything, my machines still don't have the permission to mine?

    So, two thoughts... Are BuildCraft or IndustrialCraft mining wells using player permissions? Is there a way to enable machine mining in Towny perms? Or perhaps a way to check for resident machines?

    And, to the person looking at Towny with BC or IC2, this is the only issue I've had. And I think it can be worked around?

    My players cant use lockette in the "wild." They have the actual permission to use lockette and the notification comes from towny. So what setting(s) can I change to fix this?

    Towny suddenly stopped working, I am using the latest versions of both bukkit and Towny, and even updated both after this problem to make sure. I get this error:

    One more question. When someone tryes to join a town, it says The person who made this request is no longer online....
    Is this a problem with questioner or what?

    I was using 0.76.02 and one day something happened that turned friendly fire off. Its set as false in the config but it was ignoring this for some reason. I hoped updating to the latest version would help, but the issue is still there. Any help would be fantastic.

    Give them lockette.towny.wilds (double check the lockette firstpost to make sure that's the right node.)

    You've got data corruption, but that isn't the full error. There should be more above what you've shown. Join the IRC if you still want help.

    Go to the download page and download Questioner again, its at version 0.5 now, to make up for a change in WorldEdit over Christmas. Unfortunately WE now overrides many plugins' commands. I had problems with pretty much every non-superperms-plugin's permission nodes no longer working.

    Join the irc or show me some stuff on pastebin.com, like the config/the startup.

    When you did /town set perm on, you still need to use /town set perm reset to propagate the new perm line to the existing townblocks.

    Do an npc town in its place, read teh mayor section of the How Towny Works wikipage.

    You're using a version where that was a bug. Update to

    To Everyone:

    There a new Towny release, Towny, this update supports RB 1597 and MC 1.0.0.

    The 0.77.1.* development versions numbered 33 in total and spanned the longest time between Towny releases since Elgarl took over the plugin as lead dev.

    Some key additions include:
    - the finalization or per-plot perms and toggle settings,
    - the fixing of Towny War,
    - better chat channel commands, custom chat channels,
    - lots more, read the what's new section of the first post in this thread.

    What's being worked on now (aside from any bug-fixing that is required):
    - preparing the code for sql,
    - enhancements submitted on the issue tracker.

    The Towny Advanced.zip now includes:
    - Towny
    - TownyChat 0.9 (newly updated)
    - Questioner 0.5 (newly updated)

    If you use Group Manager you'll need to update to GM 1.8 or higher, if you don't you'll get CUSTOM_EVENT errors.

    All the WorldEdit builds since Christmas have included a strange change that breaks commands for many commands. It broke the /accept commands, the towny chat channel commands and a bunch of other commands on my server (mcdocs, lockette, chestshop, probably others). If you have this problem get worldedit from build.sk89q.com, specifically builds from before #704. You'll need to get commandbook, craftbook, worldguard, etc. builds dated pre-christmas eve too.

    I've just updated to Towny 0.78 because /town and '15 more' commands weren't working, which I think was something to do with the Register.jar update I did.

    Now it's updated, those commands still don't work. I updated Register.jar again and now chat has lost most of the settings I had applied and teleporting no longer works.

    I have craftbukkit 1537. Hope someone can help...

    This wasn't towny related, I accidentally dropped the Scheduled Announcer config file into GroupManager. FAIL.

    Does anyone else hate how they're all called config.yml and just replace any configs they land on? They should be called GroupManagerConfig.yml or something...

    But /town and other commands still give me 'internal error'.

    Hi, I'm considering running this on my server, but will you please clarify a couple of points in the documentation for me? My major concern is that the "town" idea sometimes conflicts with other gameplay elements. Specifically, I'm worried my new residents will find getting animals and ore very difficult because they have to travel very far away from the town. I want players who join a town, even an old one, to have a reasonable source of ore and animals nearby. For that, they need space reserved no one can build, and where collected ore regenerates over time.
    I want to know that all my towns won't stagnate and turn into ghost towns because nobody new wants to join thanks to a lack of nearby space (for animal spawns) and other resources (ore). Can this be achieved with the current version of Towny somehow?
    The docs describe wilderness regions as places where players can break only certain kinds of blocks, for example to harvest ore. Does this mean they also can't build there? I would like to outright prohibit building in wilderness areas, if that's possible.
    Also, is there an option to force wilderness plots to entirely regenerate all blocks?

    There are other plugins that can regen ore in defined areas, but towny cannot do it.
    Animals can still spawn in towns, its only the monsters that get removed.
    Wilderness can have any settings you want. You could allow destroying in the wild while not allowing building. You can whitelist or blacklist destroying/building specific blocks.

    I updated to 0.78, friendly fire is set to false but town members can still hurt eachother. Any other ideas on a possible fix?

    Since the new update, in my town, the assistant I had can't be an assistant anymore. What changed relating to assistants? The only guess I have is he's not a resident.

    That was changed, to be an assistant you must be a member of the town.

    That has caused a bit of a problem for my server. I, the server admin, is running a town around the spawn, and the mods were assistants to help build. They all also have their own towns. I don't suppose mayors of other towns can be members of other towns as well.

  30. You now have addition permission nodes specifically for mods. These nodes will allow them to build etc in other towns than their own, while not granting other admin commands or wild perms.

    Drop nspleef and update GM to 1.8, that nspleef is erroring out on Register. Try updating it or contacting the author.
