    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.

      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.

    i wan't some of my citizens of my town to buy more than 1 slot in my town how and where can i config so that they can buy more than 1?

    Please read all of the awesome wiki guide pages that they have made for us. It details exactly what you are asking. Turn off revert on unclaim. And make sure you configure your town permissions correct.

    Join the IRC.

    The config is set up to allow them to buy lots of plots, it would only limit them if you used the permission info node that does that. Just /plot fs {optionalcost} and have them /plot claim

    It's an info node, similar to a permission node. You'd need either GM or PEX, maybe bperms if it does info/option nodes.

    In Towny, I have one issue. When I try to sell a plot, it gives the entire chunk of the map, I only want a chunk of that chunk (Chunkception?). How would I do so?

    somehow I couldnt get /ta town NAME remove+ PLAYERNAME to work! (cb 1597, Towny .71.1.23)
    Couldnt remove an offline player from a town! Tried it case-sensitive and non-sensitive - no dice! Bug?

    Hello! I add towny the plugins folder of mine, and when others are building is that: "[Towny]You are not allowed two build in the wilderness" What should I do? ... Do I perhaps iconemy or something like that?

    Hey, I have a question. I'm running the WormholeXtreme Worlds mod for multiworld. When people try to claim worlds on my server, everything seems like it's running fine, until the server restarts. Then it gives me

    I removed towny, went with the dev version, updated Bukkit, removed all the old files.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I love this mod, and I really want to get multiworld support working.


    Thanks to LlmDl in the IRC, I/we figured it was that the plugins load in order. Just had to use a different multi-world plugin to make sure the worlds got loaded before towny.

    I really need help quicky, Everyone on my server keep getting mad cause I try to invite members into my town and it says This player is not perrmeted to join a town, then after that towny says None of those names were valid. Please help, ive been workin for about 2 days on this, please help.

    Make sure your permissions are set up correctly, Make sure your using ver. 77.1 If all else fails delete the config, let it gen a new one and see if the problem persist, Try debugging to see if a plugin is conlicting, Remove all plugins except your permissions and towny, see if you can add someone ,if you can then find out what plugin is causing the problem

    I wonder, when others who are not OP to the build, then comes this: "Your not allowed to build in the wilderness" or something. How do I fix it? Have tried everything but nothingworks.

    Hello! When others join, that is NOT operator, and certainly they will ruin anything, it's going: "Not allowed to destroy in the wild," What shall I do that everyone can build? Because only OP to build around. Help!

    is there a chance that we can get an option to automatically remove banned players from towns? Ive noticed that players often use the "dead weight" of banned players to expand their towns plots!

    Give players towny.wild.* in their permission nodes.

    Update your GM, its got events now!

    Give players towny.wild.* in their permission nodes.
    Make sure you're on the dev of towny, and test one of those plots that they can affect with /plot perm. If it is showing that outsiders have perms to build/destroy then do this:
    1. Set the town perm line with /town set perm outsider off
    2. Propagate that perm line to the town-owned town blocks with /town set perm reset

    That should fix you up.

    Does anyone know of a plugin which makes warmups-cooldowns possible with /town spawn? And also cancel the warmup if a player is hit? I want to stop combat-teleporting....

    Towny is becoming a problem rather than an asset for our server. It eats up a tremendous amount of memory, takes forever to start up, sometimes doesn't load at all and thus requires us to use a backup, and it all happens more than once a day. We're about ready to dump Towny, but it would be a shame because we do like the features. The ability to set up plots, making towns, the perms, etc. are all cool but our server can't go public with Towny acting like this. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix these issues?

  30. Essentials provides cooldown/warmup timers, with moving/being hit canceling the teleport.
    Enable using_essentials in towny's config.
    Towny also has it's own teleport_warmup_time: '0', but the essentials one is a more extensive feature.

    Clean out your backup folder and perform a littel maintenance like '/ta purge 90' (remove players not seen for more than 90 days)

    "Town cannot afford to claim 1 town blocks costing 25.0Dollar"

    What have I missed.. that error is doing my head in trying to fix it so member can claim more land.

    So far they can only start a town, which takes default $250, and claim 1 plot... if I give them a bonus... its added to the town... but they just get the above error.
