    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.

  4. towny v0.77.1.19: Op cant damage mobs on towny plots that he does not belong to.
    Is that intentional?

    Ive managed to fix all my issues except the fact mobs dont de-spawn in towns.

    So the town owns the land- check
    I type /plot set arena - check
    is it successful? Nope still says invalid plot type :(

    I feel like I'm being annoying here I'm terrible sorry.

    Your towny config has some bad parsing. The startup points out where in the config the parsing goes bad. Fix the parsing or rename your config, let a new one regen and edit it carefully.

    If you give your ops towny.admin in their permission nodes can they hurt mobs? It's probably a bug.

    If you join the IRC I can probably help you figure out which plugin is conflicting with Register.

    Hi, Im preparing brand new server and towny will be its basic important plugin . Can you provide hint how is new RB compatibile version preparations going ? Is it true that you are about include valut support ?

    Using the latest towny devbuild in 1.0.1

    With the upkeep set to 'true'
    Is there any way to charge continuous upkeep, but remove the 'deletion' of the city/and its blocks? Maybe make it so that all the options are set to true upon lack of paying taxes... or so that not even members can access their houses/locked doors until payment is restored?

    We've had new players forgetting to pay upkeep, and lose their entire towns/reisdent/buildings... (Why do buildings/items delete anyways?)

    Am I overlooking a setting where I can fix my dillema?

    On the same note, I moved the town from the deleted folder, back to the town folder... but it still remains deleted with all blocks/items lost. Is there another way to individually restore 1 town?

    I think it's a nice idea! Block town until taxes are paid.

    You can use any economy plugin.

    Join the IRC, your data is corrupt. The other option is to use a backup from the towny\backup\ folder.

    How will this work without an economy plugin.
    I absolutely hate fake money. I will not use it.
    But I need this to control my town system.
    Is it possible to have this plugin use a defined item, such as an iron bar, instead of "fake money"

    I used backup but it didn't work, so i deleted the city name from all files and the residents as well, now it works.

    If i force pvp on EVERYWERE, how can i toggle it off in the spawn city. So new players don't get ganked?

    Try iconomy 6, it allows for physical currencies. With no economy at all, everything in towny is free.

    Redownload townychat from here, it received a minor update mid-devs.

    Instead of forcing pvp do this:
    1. Run the dev.
    2. Set the config's default new town section, to have PVP enabled upon creation of a town.
    3. Make sure that players don't have towny.town.toggle.pvp in their permission nodes.
    4. Go through the files in the towny\data\towns folder and change all towns to pvp=true (except your spawn town)
    5. In-game, check your world's pvp status with /tw and confirm that pvp is on in the wild.

    Doing this will cause new towns to be pvp on, existing towns to be the same and removing the permission node keeps a mayor from turning it on/off.

    I thought iconomy was dead.

    Towny seems to be messing with my worldguard regions. I have regions for player towns, and with town installed, players cannot build in them.

    I fixed the issue with them not building in the "wild"

    I am not seeing in the config of iconomy 6 to enable use of an item as a currency? Please enlighten me? Is there a separate plugin I need to do this?

    Hi i was using towny as a world protect, because it was a good way to incorporate towns into our server however, we have just realised that people who are not in the town could edit areas inside the town :/ also when we unclaim land the land reverts and removes the current building there, at the moment we are using towny 0.77.10 and bukkit build 1597 we have tried the new dev towny and it still doesn't work!
    PLease reply ASAP because my server is currently very very venerable
