    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.
      • Block explosions and fire.
    • PVP Enhancements
      • Server with a strong PVP aspect will find Towny's grouping of players to be invaluable.

    I need some assistance. I've installed Towny but once I start my server up normal member cannot buils or destroy in the wild? Is this a normal problem or did I configure incorrectly??

    is there an admin command I can type to add someone to a town on their behalf? and.. theoretically... if they have yet to log on?

    Use /ta town {townname} add+ {playername} for someone not online (Probably won't work if Questioner is also being used.) /ta town {townname} add {playername} for someone online.

    Give your players towny.wild.* in their permission nodes.

    It is not possible to set multiple plot sizes. The default is 16x16. Pre-existing cities are often difficult to align with towny plots. You might want to considering running region-based protection in your pre-existing city and use Towny for all subsequent towns.

    Do you use Permissions ? if so, you have to add the permissions for that group!

    Example: If your default group is named "Default" you have to add the permission:
    /pr g:Default perms add towny.wild.*

    Is it possible to get this added? I would really love to use this mod but i just dont like that u HAVE to go with specific sizes for resident plots. However i do like that u can only add to the actual town with the specific sizes.

    Nope it goes against the concept of the world grid.

    You don't need permissions, go to towny\data\worlds\ and for each worldname.txt change these:

    Towny supports superperms already.

    Nope, not going to be added.

    Not possible at this moment, if a mayor wants to delete the town he can, he can use the /t set mayor {playername}
    command to set someone else as mayor.

    Since past week i've had some trouble with Mayor and Assistants adding members to the town and then greafing them on their plot. Is there an option to disable Mayors and Assistants to access the members plots once they own/bought one?

    Hello, we're using Towny on our server and it's great. :)

    Unfortunately we have custom town block size (5x5) so we have encountered the /town spawn bug.
    What should I know / change to upgrade to the dev version? I tried to simply upgrade from the release version on my local test server but when i login my town is wiped out.

    No, that's what a mayor and an assistant can do. Players can always join a different town if the mayors are jerks.
