    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.
      • Block explosions and fire.
    • PVP Enhancements
      • Server with a strong PVP aspect will find Towny's grouping of players to be invaluable.
      • Prevent friendly-fire. (Optional)
      • Nations split players into larger teams.
      • Nations can declare other nations to be allies or enemies, further splitting players into even larger teams.
      • PVP can be turned on/off in wilderness, towns and worlds. (Optional)

    • No other plugins, but is best with Questioner, so that invitations are given by Towns and Nations to residents and towns.

    (We no longer recommend using PEX at all. It breaks TownyPerms due to the reflection PEX performs.)

    We're currently undergoing a total recode of towny's back end. It will support UUIDs. Just unsure of which server platform it will launch on. Until you can actually change your minecraft name its not an urgent matter.

  9. ElgarL A new community has released their own coded (and legal) verson of 1.8 for people. As such with using their own code many a bukkit plugin does not work but they have developed a "bridge" plugin to make bukkit plugins work with their code. Towny works fine minus the issue of using the new codes own personal economy. I was wondering (and really REALLY hoping) that you could maybe check it out and convert Towny to their code? Everything works fine except for the economy. It just does not recognize it as a viable economy.

    Edit: I've found the community and your post where you've re-hosted our towny.jar for download. This is not allowed. Delete your post on that forum.

    Edit2: Looks like its not legal at all based on the decompiled server jar. Not even just taking code from MC, but another closed-source, pay-for plugin.
  11. They claim it is legal. Take it up with them. That is of course if you are talking about the same one that i'm talking about.

    My upload of the Towny Advanced jar on that website was taken down anyway due to someones biased opinion. In lue of that, however, i would not do so as i see nothing in the description stating that i cannot redistribute said jar.
