    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.
    • Wilderness Rules (Optional)
      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.
      • Limit players' interaction with the wild to just harvest-able blocks, keeping the wild pristine.
      • Roll-back tnt, creeper, wither explosions, dragon damage and endermen block-moving.

    • PVP Enhancements

    If you're still having problems, pastebin.com your chatconfig.yml please.

    If you're still having problems, please pastebin.com your chatconfig.yml, townychat can replace most of what you're doing with esschat and you can disable townychat in the worlds that dont use towny.

    I cant imagine why that would be happening. It should only show those messages when they cross a plot's border.

    Try loading a backup of the towny data from the towny\backup folder.
    Manually editing the data folder is for pros only.

    Give everyone towny.chat.general and the other chat nodes you think they should have.

    Dear Towny Programmers , Me and Some fellow server owners Request that You Add Town Veterans , Town veterans Are able to Add people into town And have a Diffrent coloured name When in Town chat !

    The next release of towny has a thing called TownyPerms, it will allow you to create a Veteran rank that mayors can put their residents into, you can assign any permission nodes you want to them (towny or other).

    If your config has using_permissions: true then that's all you need to do. Make sure you did it right.

    HEllo Ive set block deletion on plot deletion to falsee but when i delete the plot it will still delete the blocks and rebuild the origonal landscape. (I also set revert_on_unclaim to false too) if anyone has the solution or same problem please reply.

    check the status of the revert-on-unclaim in the world with /tw. if it says it is on then type /tw toggle revertunclaim.

    do this is any world you want it turned off in.

    Can you make multiply towns using Towny with 1 person?
    Like I can do /town new Townname1, /town new Townname2
    Then add players to each town differently.
    /town add <User> Townname2
    or
    /town add <user> Townname1
    Anything like that?

    You can not be mayor of two towns at the exact same time. You can however change the mayor of your town to a placeholder NPC (not requiring citizens) and then start a second town. With admin commands you can also invite people to both towns. Read the mayor section of the How Towny Works wikipage.

    Hi, yesterday towny suddenly stopped working. I got these errors:

    I tried replacing towny.jar, updating bukkit, and validating all the configs I had changed, which included config.yml (for towny) the world's configuration file, and bukkitpermissions's configuration file.

    Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

    It says right there that you need to update bukkit. Try reading the error messages in the future, they can be helpful sometimes

    You probably set a number in the config to something that cannot have any decimal places. No clue which one.

    I installed Towny Advanced and i have problems with Towny Chat.
    The server does not recognise any of the chat comands like /tc, /nc, /lc, ect.
    Can anyone help me please?

    Hello! Where I can find information about TownyAPI?

    I need to kick player from town using TownyAPI.
    I'm trying to use method town.removeResident (resident) but this method does not removes player from town (town is a object of Town class and resident is a object of Resident class).

  28. I fixed that by downloading a diffrent jar.
    Now i have another problem, i removed several tags from the chat but they still show up in game, i think i might just have to delete some file mayebe but donno wich one.

    Like the code for general, removed most of the tags and didn't work in the game.

    You should just link to a pastbin.com of the actual file. You've edited the worlds section of the chatconfig, but if you didnt enable per-world chat modifications then it wont be used at all.

    There was another section above the wrold ones with chat that i had to edit instead

    Now i would like how can i make players start with local chat when they enter the game instead of general?
