    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.
      • Towns can join together into nations, further structuring a server into teams.
      • Towns grant protection from monsters, pvp, fire, explosions and greifing.

      • Area between towns is wilderness, with its own build permissions.

    Disable the version check in the towny config.
    You'd be best using dev version of towny too.

    My problem if fairly simple!
    As a player (Non-Admin) I cannot create towns.

    I tried setting these to "true", Group manager and editing the World.txt :)

    Ive searched on Google to see if i could findt anything that would make normal players able to create towns but with no luck :(

    I would be more than happy if anyone could give a quick helping hand with this! :)

    Please read this now! Towny has a good core idea, but the way plots were done, pisses me off. Basically, you have to do the plot command, whether its making a shop or selling a plot, then it places the plot randomly and you have to deal with it. It pisses me off beyond belief. PLEASE incorporate world edit into towny. I have the perfect idea, use the wand and set the positions of the plot. Its simple and works. If there is a more efficient way than that and its all ready in there, PLEASE tell me! Thank you! Reply soon!

    PS: Sorry for cursing, its just if I don't find a solution, 50% of the server I have been working on since February will be screwed. Thanks!

    Hey, I'm killing myslef trying to get rid of the "You are so lonely" message. Im owner I have all perms and Im the only one getting the message, my other players can talk normally. And Iv also made sure global chat is changed to general chat. Help PleasE!!!!!!!

    Give them towny.town.new in their nodes, if they have that then go read the 2nd post of this thread.

    This will never happen. Sorry. Also, the plots are not placed randomly, imagine them as cells on a grid.

    Give everyone towny.chat.general in your perm node file.

    Here's the thing.
    1.I have a plot for sale with a building inside of it.
    2. A player buys the plot and makes changes to it.
    3.The player leaves the plot.
    4. Is there a way for me to undo all the changes the player has made before he moved in?
    If so, what's the command?

    I have a problem. Towny doesn't collect taxes on the new day. Here is the error:

    This is fixed in dev.

    Define 'give a town a grant'

    Not exactly like you described but:

    You can use '/ta regen' to regenerate the MC chunk (not townblocks size, unless you left townblocks as their default 16x16.) This will undo any mining a player did in their plot as well as any house. You make have to level the terrain, worldedit a house back onto the land.

    It is not.

    I installed the dev build, still not fixed. Is it also not compatible with towny chat?

    You will want to run Townychat 0.29 and register 1.8/or vault

    Are those both the most recent releases or are they the dev builds also?

    Every time anyone (admin or default player) tries to make a town they get a message saying "You can't afford to settle a town here."

    The weird thing is, before uploading it to my public server, I tried it on my home server first and there it worked perfectly. But after the upload no one could create towns anymore, not even OPs.

    I tried everything I read on the internet; I reinstalled register.jar, I updated my bukkit version, I downgraded my bukkit version, I replaced register.jar with vault.jar, giving people $1000000000. Nothing worked.
    I'm really getting desperate now and thinking of ditching the plugin altogether, but is there anyone on here who knows what to do?

    Would it be possible for a nation tax percent. /n toggle taxpercent then /nation set taxes.. ect. I would really appreciate this option for the server that I play on. If there is a toggle, I havnt been able to set it

    Some players in cities that don't log from a month don't pay taxes. Why? Is this a Towny problem or a server problem?
    I use iConomy 7, and CB 1.2.5 R1

    Go into the towny config and find the townlevels, remove the hermit prefix for mayors in 1 man towns.
