    Taking Shades' Towny a step farther.

    A versatile, player-controlled land management plugin for use with Bukkit/Tekkit/Spigot/Libigot, offering solutions for pvp, griefing, chat, inflated economies and monsters.

    Features (open)

    Towny includes a wide variety of features to offer instant enhancements to your traditional Minecraft server.
    • Allows players to own and manage land based on a pre-set grid layout.
      • Players join towns and purchase plots of land.
      • Players decide who can build, destroy, use "switchs" and use items on every plot they control.

    You didn't get my problem. I don't use towny chat but mChatSuite, only townytag stuff ;(


    Is there a specific reason for this ?
    Also do towny residents get some permissions? or groups?
    Would like to differentiate upon the town <-> groups

    I added the 0.79 Towny.jar file to my plugins update folder and now when I start I get this:

    Deleting the data for the town it couldn't read just causes it to move onto the next town it can't read.

    I posted here a few pages ago about spawn rates on town plots. I just wanted to confirm that I tested the difference between wilderness spawn rates and town spawn rates and they're really, really different. I know that's not a priority but just so you know, that is an issue.
     
  11. What version of Towny? That error message doesn't match the latest release.

    Towny will not alter the spawn speed between town plots and wilderness. It will only block whatever mob type spawns you have specified..

    Can we please get some information on why group tags are not working properly! Tags are being pulled alphabetically not by priority.
     
  13. Group Tags? If by that you mean Prefix/suffix We only display whatever your perms system provides to us.

    By Not-Sold I believe u mean the plots that are for sale but nobody claimed them yet.

    Not-Sold plots are basically Town plots with a Price-tag on them either change the perms so residents can't build in the town (but they can in their owned plots) or change just those individual plot's perms.

    Unless the Not-Sold plots are being sold by residents and not the town the owner of those plots has to change the perms (but if you want to prevent the actual owners of the plots from building I can't help you there :S)

    My question is about the new Outpost Spawns.

    I understand that outposts now have spawn points with the "/town set outpost" command,
    and "/town outpost #" (where "#" is between 1-how many outposts you have) sends you to those outposts.

    But the number doesn't send me to a specific outpost it sends me to one of the many outposts I have, am I doing something wrong? Am I missing a part of the Command that sets an actual Number to an outpost spawn?

    I hope to solve this pretty soon as some of my outposts at the moment are inaccessible.

    P.S. If I use say "/town outpost 1" twice it sends me to 2 different outposts.

    All the towns on my server are being deleted for some reason???

    I've had ppl leave my server because they would come back the next day and their towns would be gone (along with the protection of the town) and all their stuff would be destroyed.

  20. This shoudl be impossible. All outpost spawns are loaded into a list and should never change in order. Unless an outpost is deleted, and then the rest shuffle down.

    I'll do some testing.

    EDIT:
    Found the issue. It isn't properly saving all outpost spawns. It will be fixed in v0.78.0.3 (when pushed to dev).

    They changed the permissions nodes to where "global channel" is now referred to as "general channel"!
    For example:
    old = towny.chat.global
    new = towny.chat.general

    Hi i recently have been tring to get a bukkit server going and with all the changes lately its been hard to keep up, the reason im posting is that ive had a problem where after installing the new update when players make a town it creates the town account as a bank which is causing all kinds of problems for them. im using boseconomy. it created them as players before and functioned properly. Help noob server admin.

    I found the problem i had the old reg to vault loaded instead of the 1.5 works ok now. if anyone would like to help me test it some more you can find info at Gigantictragedy.com. thanks

    i am OWNER and i have $3382718642786187623 and when i do '/t new Whiterun' and i have tried '/town new Whitrun' and it will say 'You cannot afford to settle a new town here' i have looked in the config and i setted the town price to 250.0 and it still says the same thing so what do i do? and yes i am an OP
     
  31. Look in yoru channels.yml. Make sure the permission for general chat is towny.chat.general

    You have an old plugin which is breaking register.
    Install Register.jar
