MineCal - An in-game calendar system

This plugin will keep track of the current Minecraft in-game date. You can post the date on signs and see the current date with a command. The weekday names, month names, and number of days in each month are completely customizable. By default, it uses real-life month names and weekday names, however, it is intended to be changed to fit in your world.

Now called RolePlayCalendar, and is on BukkitDev.

    Mixcoatl and Digi like this.

I've just tested it, and it seems to be working fine with build 816.

Hmm, time doesn't seem to pass on #816, I got the same date for 3 days :/ no errors tough.

Is the world name in your config file correct?

I wonder if there's some way to synchronize this plugin and the Seasons mod...

    @nisovin
Would it be possible to make a 'lite' version of this which just lets you use Monday-Sunday so in-game it just cycles through those days. I do like the date/month/year idea but its a bit muh for my RPG server.
    If not thats okay :)
    Great plug-in anyway

Just go into the configuration and remove the year tag from the announcement and command. Remove all months except 1. Set that ones length to a multiple of 7. That should be it...
Might be I'm wrong... This might only work for Seasons.

I imagine if you make the Seasons cycle length the same as your year, it would synchronize just fine.
You're welcome to modify the daily announcement string however you want, but I'm not going to make a different plugin that only has weekdays. That just seems unnecessary.

Yes, it's the same config, world and world name from #766 (1.5) where it worked just fine and I am using v0.3.

They don't appear to synchronize properly though, as the time days change at different times. =/

There sort of is. It just takes timing. If you are using TimeAnnounce and have an ingame clock, it's easier. If you can manage to turn off seasons and have MineCal on the beginning of Day One, not having started using it yet (If you have to, remove the plug in and re install), then all you need to do is shut down your server at exactly 12 a.m. Game time.

Then, re-implement both of these plugins so that they're both beginning at the same time. They should be sync'd.

If 0 is 8 a.m., what would be midnight? Math isn't exactly a gift of mine..

    Hey! What about Colors formatting?

@Jaronoid try -8. It says in the config that it is offset in hours where 0 = 8 am, there 0 am must be -8.

See, I thought about doing that, but their numbers are tenths, and a minecraft day has 24 hours..
EDIT: Nevermind, I understand. Their tenths ARE hours. Makes sense. ^m^

Is there a simple way to reset this plugin? Like, go back to day one?

  19. Offline

    nisovin

Open day.txt in the MineCal folder and change the value back to 1. Then reload.

    Jaronoid

That set it as Day Two.. My Day Change Offset is -8 so that it (Or rather, so that it's supposed to) changes at midnight.. Is that what's causing the issue?

Try just deleting the file then.

Just went through a long process of moving the file to desktop, fixing things with other plugins, and putting it back in at different in-game times until I got it. ^m^

I have a bug that causes the plugin to add two extra non-named months. After December, the tenth and final month of my server, it began saying that the date was Triday, 2, 1 S.C. and it won't change.

You have 10 months listed, but in your monthdays, you have 12 numbers.
