Replicate Far Lands "Fake Chunks"?

I had read on the MC wiki that when you reach the Far Lands in current versions it creates chunks like normal except that you cannot collide with any of the blocks in them.

Does anyone know a way to replicate this? It might be some interesting food for thought even if you don't know.

You could be right, the MC wiki (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Far_Lands) under In Beta 1.8 and above says that they still exists but 1.8 was a looong time ago. Haha.

 

ZeusAllMighty11 is right, Notch(when he was still in charge of Minecraft) stopped the far lands from generating. You could always try to mimic them by creating your own world generator but that might be kinda difficult. Here's a link that has an example of a moon-like world generator however it might be slightly outdated.
